Since entering the creative arts industry as a teenager, Patrick Downes has built himself an impressive repertoire of experiences as an actor, writer and director for stage and screen. He has been employed as a role player in the training sector since 2008, working with a number of government and private agencies.

Having amassed nearly ten years of roleplaying and interactive training experience, Patrick brings many useful skills to The Experience Lab. Completing a three year mentorship with the former artistic director of WAYTCo, Phil Thomson, Patrick has also worked extensively as a director for WAYTCo and has written for Black Swan Theatre. Since 2011, he has co-owned and directed Upstart Theatre Company receiving acclaim as both a theatrical actor and director.
